February 24, 2022

Whether you are looking to change the decor style of your home without breaking the bank, do something creative during your spare time, or are a die-hard lover of DIYs, there are many projects that you can complete within a weekend.

Even if you are not handy with tools, you can recreate some of the hacks we will provide in this blog post.

1. A DIY coffee station

How easy is it to make a DIY coffee station? Well, we say it is seamless. This is one of the less complicated hacks you can use to give your home a minor facelift.

Sand your wood and spray lacquer on it. Ensure you use slabs that can function as a shelf. It can be any size but ensure it is not too large, so it does not appear comical. The frame must also sit at a 90° angle to stabilize the items you place on it.

2. Create an aesthetically pleasing mirror

Your mirror does not have to be plain. You can transform it with some spray paint, paint, and tape.

We encourage creativity, so you do not have to recreate the pattern we describe now. However, it is also an incredible idea that gives your mirror a unique and mesmerizing facelift.

Paint the corners with any color of your choice. Use the tape to create patterns of your choice around the painted corners. Then spray paint and uncover your epic craft!

3. Fix up your headboard

You can challenge yourself to fix up your headboard with materials you have at home. Instead of waking up every day to that boring old headboard, spruce it up with spunky wallpaper or murals.

We also challenge you to take on your nightstand next.

4. Transform an old dresser

Now that you feel motivated to do something creative, we bet it would be fun to transform an old dresser. You can paint it with some leftover paint or buy a can from the store.

5. Make a picture ledge

Making a picture ledge is an easy woodworking project. Instead of crowding your already stuffed furniture with your picture frames, you can create a picture ledge on an empty or less condensed wall in your home.

A large-enough slab of wood will suffice.

6. Build a bookshelf

You can never have too many bookshelves.

Whether you consider yourself a bookworm or merely have a few collections at home, you can create a bookshelf to put on display. This is also an excellent organizational tool.

7. Install some custom shelving in your pantry

Running out of storage space in the pantry is sometimes inevitable, especially if you have a large family.

Well, there is a way around it. Find an unused space for this project. You can build some extra shelves in the pantry.

8. Create a compost bin

You can use wood to make a compost bin for your food scraps. If you fancy gardening, this is undoubtedly a hack you would love. Instead of buying inorganic or organic fertilizers from the store, you can cut back on this expense.

However, you must ensure that the wood you are using is untreated to avoid infusing chemicals into the compost.
