DIY Driftwood
June 2, 2022

Decorative driftwood with air plants and succulents.

These are so pretty and simple to make. You can place them anywhere around your home or office. They also make great gifts for family and friends.

You only need a few items to put these together. Some of the items you can find in your own yard. A nice piece of driftwood, some shells and small rocks, succulents and air plants and a small amount of moss. You also need a hot glue gun. What you can’t find in your yard, you can easily find online at Amazon.com.

Once you have all of your supplies together, find a work space where you can spread everything out. You’ll want to decide where to place things on your driftwood. Now get creative, try gluing on a shell so that it leaves an opening at the top. Once the glue has dried, you can put a little moss in there then glue a piece of a succulent inside with the moss. You can glue the air plants right on to the driftwood and decorate around it with small rocks and shells.

Now when it’s all done you can mist it a little, with a spray bottle, and do this once or twice a week. Find a special place where you’ll be able to enjoy your new handiwork.

It is possible that some of the succulents won’t live long, this is a very simple fix. Just pull the dead one out and glue in a fresh one.

This project takes so little time, it’s inexpensive to make and you’ll get to enjoy it for a long time. I find this very relaxing.
